I test drove two ES hybrids before putting in my order. Neither one had and wind noise from the driver side window. Hopefully it's the same with my ES when it comes in a few months.

Let us know when you take possession of it please. Once you get up to highway speeds it won't take long to notice. The driver side is more of an issue than the passenger side.

When listening for wind noise, turn the sound system off. There are rear speakers mounted high on the rear doors close to the B-pillar.

The sound system is turned off, trust me if you have this issue with your particular car you will know its wind noise and that it's coming from that upper window area. The speakers compared to the previous 3 Lexus's I've had are an entire thread elsewhere on this board and that issue is legit as well.

I’ll mention that for my car the wind noise is intermittent. But when it happens it’s always above 70 mph.

I started another thread before finding this one, but this is the exact issue I am having with my car (ES-350 Fsport 2019). This is my first Lexus. The noise is annoying to say the least but in a car that cost 55+ and is known for cabin quietness it is disheartening. I am driving with a service advisor at my 5000 mile service and will repost back what i am told. I'm going to take a copy of this forum to show them as well so if anyone else is having this issue please post here. Thanks!

I have been hearing on my ES 350 as well. I took it to dealer and they test dove and they heard it too but couldn't figure it out. It is very annoying.

I have been hearing too. It is more like rattling noise. Only when I am driving over 55-60. It sounds like something loose and flapping with high wind. It is annoying. It is not normal wind noise you hear when driving on highway.

CStone,
Indeed, it is an awesome vehicle. I just took delivery of mine Saturday afternoon. Much to my surprise, I heard the window noise all the way home. The next morning driving to the grocery store at 50 miles an hour -- the same thing. Every Lexus I have owned has been quiet as a mouse on the road other than hearing the road from the tires. I would be very interested to see what you find. I did some serious inspecting on my vehicle this past Sunday and can see where the rubber seals do not meet up flush with the body/door. I'm a little disappointed but I am sure Lexus will remedy this issue. I want mine fixed asap. I will keep you apprised.
Kind regards,

I do not get the wind noise. I have an ES 300h Ultra Lux built in Japan purchased in the US.

I do not have:
Door guards
Door Film
Rear bumper Applique
Any paint protection film

Can anyone with the noise post a similar list?

I have the same issue and I've demonstrated it to a service manager at my local dealer who acknowledged it's a known issue. I hope they have a fix soon because the noise is super annoying for an otherwise fantastic car. If anyone gets this issue fixed please post what they did.

Went in for the 5000 mile service today and it was interesting to say the least. The service tech drove the vehicle and confirmed that there was an unusual wind noise on the drivers side. They worked diligently to find the cause and talked to Lexus to see if they had suggestions. Lexus acknowledged that they were aware of the issue. However the Lexus response was basically that there was nothing that could be done about the sound and it was because of the cars design. The service tech also drove some of the other cars on the lot to see if they had the same problem. According to him the newer cars were actually louder than mine. Lexus has an issue here that needs to be addressed. To say the least I will be talking to Lexus about this.
