Odd exterior noise ES300h

i am aware of the safety regulation for hybrid vehicles....but....I’m wondering if such odd, erratic noise is normal? It can be heard inside my vehicle at low speeds, primarily when turning. Sometimes the noise is more prominent. Wondering if this is usual...or something which requires service attention. Zero issues otherwise. Thanks in advance.

Does it sound like a faint whine that increases in pitch when accelerating or a subway style moaning or whirring when slowing down? That's the electric traction motor spinning up front. Some people can also hear inverter noise, I think it's pretty loud when climbing steep hills with the windows down.

I had this on my 2014 Avalon hybrid and unplugged it, taped the finger of a rubber glove on the harnesses to protect them from the elements, I watch when I drive so I wasnt worried about running over a pedestrian that couldn't hear me. 115,000 miles on two Camry Hybrids with no sound-maker proved this

Chromedome.....it’s a whirring sound. I’ve owned other hybrids. Seems related to under 5 mph driving....while turning steering wheel in either direction. Vehicle windows are almost always closed. Thanks.

Could it be the power steering motor? That makes a whirring sound at low speeds when turning. I can hear mine because the car is otherwise so quiet. Either that or the low speed sound maker device.

Thanks again....smart advice. I’ll have it looked at...or listened to...during my first service. No rush.

Just to elaborate, the safety speaker is a very strange sound, something a Sifi movie could use for space propulsion. If that strikes a bell, try unplugging it like I did on my TAH
