Default USB or 12v near mirror for dash cam?

In other markets, Lexus offers a rebranded dash cam for the ES and the cable connects near the rear view mirror. Has anyone pried off some covers and found either 12v or (better) a USB that can be used?

I prefer not to route 10' of cable through the headliner and A pillar to the fusebox this time!

If you do a search for this procedure you will find numerous threads with video showing the install.

Well I really can't say but if it's a DIY project anyway, open it up and check it out... My thoughts are that it would be the same but DK.

I just popped off the cover on the windshield behind the rear view and did a mirror tap to power my radar detector. Same on my 2017 NX. Pink is power and white is ground. Getting 13 volts.
