Gotcha and yeah I think one of those articles does mention a road test analysis but not sure if it is heresay or if the writer was the one who conducted the test. Bottom line is Lexus definitely listened to it’s ES customer base on taking the car from a mundane but aptly stylish old mannish ride to more of a sports sedan with grip and power. But as you pointed out ...nothing will replace you getting in and test driving one 😉

So the ES will be 2" lower...

It'll look better but I wonder if it'll still be able to clear most curbs. My Maserati GT was a nightmare to park always worried I was going to bang up the front end.

Actually I think you may have misread the specs as it’s only .2 inches not 2 inches lower. So curb clearance won’t be a concern.

The 2019 ES 350 is only .2 not 2 inches lower so ease or entry won’t be an issue.

What was confusing is that in the video he says "the front of the hood is actually 2 inches lower". When I first heard it, I thought he said the front of the car is 2 inches lower.

Interested to hear how this car rides, and more to test one. The 2018 LS500 was a HUGE disappointment in ride, and I did the one with air suspension. Also felt very tight inside, especially for how large it is outside. And the previous LS460 looks ancient, as it is from 2007. I wish they had an 'ultra ultra luxury version ES", I'd pay double for one if it's reliable, quiet, spacious feeling and most of all extremely smooth.

Agree and the irony is that the ES 350 has always had more leg room than the standard LS to the tune of almost 5 inches. Only the LS460 L has more legroom. I doubt this new ES disappoints as the ES is Lexus’ bread n butter model so they spent considerable effort in revamping this new model into a sportier, better handling, more powerful touring sedan.

True. Most car brands flagship sedan is one to aspire to. The LS460 was great about a decade ago when came out, but never got any updates worth mentioning, was forgotten, and the LS500 is a terrible vehicle with the exception of aesthetics. It's neither very engaging to drive, yet hi lights flaws of the roads it's driven on more than the current generation ES (I took an LS500 2018 on a 30 mile test drive, it was 100k with air suspension, felt like very nicely appointed interior on Honda chassis with cramped feeling interior dimensions at best). It's obvious they don't sell many, so they just don't care. I would pay LS prices, for an ES type ride, nice interior, and floats like an air hockey puck in silence. The latest ES might go sportier though as well, meaning rougher riding. The SUVs seem to have the older sedan market in their pocket.

I think the advertisements will start after July. All the specs, colors, features, etc. I'm in for a new one too... Atomic Silver for me...

This is a very good detailed review of the 350, 300, and F Sport. Tells you just about everything...
