Electronic key battery depletion
The standard battery life is 1 to 2 years. (The card key battery life is from one year to one year and a half.)
If the battery becomes low, an alarm will sound in the cabin when the engine is stopped.

Thanks gentlemen. Since I don’t want any surprises, I will change mine on schedule. I generally don’t keep cars long enough to worry about changing the battery, but this ES is a keeper.

And also drain the auxiliary battery. Park ours under house and wife puts pocketbook on chair right above car. Her fob battery lasts 2 3/4 years.
