How to add another Profile to a ES350 UL ?
 

I've set up my Profile on the ES350 UL as the Primary Driver. I now would like to set up another profile for my wife. I have downloaded the Lexus App to her phone and linked it via Bluetooth to the Car. As soon as I click on add a profile it does find her Profile and if I Click Add a Screen immediately appears with a QR code asking me to scan it with her Phone. Her phone is then ready to Scan. But, as soon as I point the phone at the QR Code, the Screen immediately goes away and tells me it is an incorrect code. I also see that there is an option to enter an 8 digit code manually, but it does not give me an opportunity to select that option.

Could someone help me with this? Thank you.

First, there can be only one primary driver profile set up for your ES. Additional driver profiles have to be set up as non-primary driver profiles (maximum of three profiles, 1 primary and 2 non-primary driver profiles) and you do NOT add your ES vehicle to their Lexus account. (For non-primary driver profiles, you skip the adding the vehicle to their account when pairing their account and Bluetooth phone.) Only the primary driver profile has Remote Connect capabilities (through the Lexus app) automatically. For non-primary driver profiles, the primary driver profile must authorize/invite from their signed in Lexus account Lexus app the non-primary driver Lexus account Remote Connect capabilities. Northside Lexus's Melissa O'Connell's "How to Link Your Lexus Interface Profile in your Lexus - 2022 Lexus NX Featured" video starting at the 7:12 time mark shows you the steps to adding a non-primary driver profile:

In the video she mentions key fob and driver's seat memory linking to a profile but that only works with Lexus vehicles using the new electrical architecture platform which the ES isn't using yet. The ES still links key fob and driver's seat, steering wheel, HUD, and outside mirror memory settings through the driver's door Lexus Memory System buttons.

Thanks for your reply................ My system is a 2025 and was nothing like the Video.... But, I took another try at it and I succeeded. --- What I had to do was go into my Wife's Lexus app and add a Pin Number to her Account and that seems to have fixed it. Because the next time I tried to add her as a Secondary Driver, it asked for the Pin Number instead of displaying the QR Code.... I entered it and it promptly added her as a Driver. It looks like to switch Drivers, I'll have to enter the Pin number every time.... Not sure though......
