The question is, what is the fuel consumption?
I average 25 - 28 using as my daily commuter driver and there's not much stop and go in there. I notice the INefficiency of the V6 more these days with my wife now driving the RX hybrid. But it's still a super smooth engine and I have over 80K miles on the clock now.

What brand oil, there are many out there and in a brand there are several 0w 20 to select from?
I have been using the Mobil 1 0w 20 AFE and since a lot city will do the 6mo - 5k OCI, presently 23,600mi on my 2021

Any name brand full synthetic oil is OK to use in your Lexus. I use Pennzoil Platinum. One year or 10k OCI is recommended. You decide what interval is best for your driving habits.
Yeah, that's all I use, Mobil 1 0w-20 full synthetic and 5-7k oil change interval. Just did the brake fluid, coolant, and all filters on my ES and RX service myself, save lot of money though.

On my 2021 ES350 presently used city all the time with lots of lights and 45 and below speeds I get 21 to 22 depending on the variations on trip time and miles. I use Mobil 1 87 octane fuel and AC on all the time with the Fla heat, winter somewhat less AC. I base the mpg on gallons used over distance, my city mpg just around the EPA city rate. Have 23,600 on the ODO. It does not use any oil.

Would that be the Advanced Fuel Economy (AFE) blend or Extended Performance or other blend?

Love my 2025 ES350, actually am underwhelmed by the power of this v6. Guess its relative to ones prior experience and expectations. Previously had BMWs inline 6 (M240) that was wickedly fast. Tried out the BMW 330 with the turbo 4 cyl, that had much more power/acceleration than this lexus v6, ride was a bit harsh for me with the runflats on the BMW. Anyway loved the ride quality and quietness of this ES350, loved the handling and performance of the BMW330, chose the ES350 as don't really have roads around here to challenge a good handling car nor is there a road race track nearby to really use a performance sport like the BMW. (I did run the M240 BMW on road race course and at 1/4 mile track, fun car)

I also have a plain Jane 2015 BMW 228i Xdrive with 4 cylinder turbo and 8 speed auto. It is much, much quicker than my Lexus V6 ES 350. Still I like the Lexus much, much better.

2015 228i XDrive: 0-60 in 5.0s -- not bad. Does that need to be brake-torqued/launched to achieve that 0-60? Have you tried it yet?

My BMW M240x, ran timed quarter mile at sanctioned strip, lowest time was 11.67, very quick, it did have launch control, but what really helped is power to all 4 wheels, No one beat me off the line.Stock tires etc except i did a very small turbo boost increase with a JBL module and slightly higher octane gas to carry the increased boost without retarding the timing. Dunno what 0-60 times were.

Funny you mention awd as an advantage. It obviously is, but there’s a strong disbelief of that in the Lexus community. Good to hear someone capable of making sound statements, to help upgrade the technical competence of the community.

Aside from a racing perspective, I see AWD as providing a very practical benefit to the daily driver. There are many situations where we may accelerate aggressively, specifically while turning from a stop, and the FWD on this car will unfailingly spin/screech the tires before gaining traction. This doesn't happen in my wife's AWD RX, and it's a real comfort knowing that. Also, there's much less front end lift when accelerating from a stop with AWD getting a bit of a push from the rear wheels.

If I ever get another car I very much would like to have AWD for those reasons.

On the way home from picking up the car I was averaging 37mpg for several hundred miles according to the display. That was exceptional and I haven't replicated it since. I can only assume that my easy driving as it was new and a tailwind contributed to that. I have a light foot and can get 32 to 33 mpg easily but that is mostly highway. But I don't drive that much and haven't nailed it down actually. It uses so little gas compared to the SUV that I just don't worry about it. I worry more about filling it too much and the gas getting old.

If the gas is top tier and it sits in your tank I have had no problems with a month between fill ups with my ES350.
When you were on the highway was it in Econ and cruise control + AC on and what speed?

Note if you use cruise control and select radar distance settings the system goes into auto mode and uses programmed control of your car, as I understand it (?). If you use the auto mode you know the operation, if not read the manual about it.

When I select cruise I use the basic set up and not the auto mode - I like old style cruise operation for more at moment road attention.

First vehicle with adaptive cruise and it is just great.

I use Mobil 87 octane. Car is stored in winter for three months, this year fuel seemed a bit stale.

After the free oil change and rotation I have a slight whistling sound at 60mph plus which increases with speed. Seems to be independent of any condition, wind, road surface. Anyone have an idea what it might be? I'm going to take a look underneath to see if everything is buttoned up properly and look at the air intake. Suggestions?

True! I only do F-sport+ mode and no less than 105mph on i-85 and i-75. Get out of my way LOL

With that period of storage i definitely would use some fuel stablizer (Sta-Bil is one.) Have no idea about the whistling sound, of course you have checked all windows, moon roof etc, perhaps the underbody tray that is to be removed and replaced for oil change is not fastened correctly...no idea really.
