I have this weird random issue. It doesn't happen if I accelerate quickly.
If I accelerate constantly (driving normally), sometimes I have this weird backward and forward motion as if engine is misfiring or something or losing fuel?
It lasts a second just before switching to 4th gear from 3rd gear or from 4th to 5th as well.
No codes recorded. Vehicle maintained as usual.
Happens cold or hot.
Any ideas what this may be?
Some weeks it is fine. Some weeks it happens almost everyday. It is concerning.
Took it to the dealer & you guessed it.. They can't replicate it.

 

That has to do with the fuel cutoff during the shift.
I would reset the transmission memory and start from there.

They have reset the transmission adaptability. I will monitor.
Is this something I can do with Techstream or is there a sequence of things I can do to reset this like hold the gas pedal and press the brake 10 times or something?

 

I don’t know for that procedure.
I know only how to reset using Techstream.

 

If they have reset it and it is still happening, what do you suggest? I changed the air filter as well and didn't make any difference.

 

Also it seems be happening from gear 6 to 7 as well as I reach 100km/h.

 

Ok.. Turns out it was one of the coil packs. Will see how that goes.
I am surprised it didn't throw check engine light.
