Default Lexus ES300h 2019 question about trunk

Hello!

I recently bought a Lexus ES300h, and i was looking in the boot, then i discovered some mechanical parts. Is it supposed to be like that or should they be covered up by something?

Looks like that fresh off the assembly line for US sold ESs. I would assume Japan builds destined for boot countries are built the same but I've never seen one to verify that..

Well that is kind of relieving to hear, and maybe a little disappointing... Car is in Norway, but makes sense all ES´es are mostly the same.

Does it exist any kind of protective headliner thing to cover up the mess?

They are the same. You cannot cover that because of the trunk mechanism.
