ES 300h car wash

Hi, I was wondering if you have a good suggestion for ES 300H exterior car wash in CA Bay area, East bay?
Some days I don't mind hand wash my car if a place have soap and air blow to dry for a fee.
Some days I want to get it done quickly, but want to go safe place for the car.

Do you go for self service car wash or to Chevron type?
How often you do detailing?

Thanks.

Hello from PA. Can't help with a specific location but for the good of my car, I find a spray off bay and then hand dry it. I'm not comfortable putting the car through those automatic washes, with their harsh soaps. etc.

@Shaboom, Do you use any soap? Do you use specific brush like microfiber vs plastic?

Thanks

Car bay has pressure wash with gentle soap that comes out during the soap cycle. Costs maybe $5.00 for four minutes. Then hand dry yourself. My very old collectible cars still look like new. No brushes!!

I personally avoid automatic car washes, but have heard good things about Neo Express Carwash on 238 in Hayward.

I have a subscription to a lots-of-touch automatic car wash tunnel with spinning cloth brushes. Multiple times a week through the beater. YOLO!

Now that you’ve picked yourself up off the floor consider this: sure it’s adding some swirl, but my car is spotless every day and I drive it a lot. Helps to have a white car. The thing just gleams in a parking lot.

Inused to work at a detailing shop in high school and used to be super anal about my cars, but at some point I just gave in and boy is it nice to always walk up to a shiny car.

LMAO!
I JUST had this thought come up yesterday! I also had a membership to the automatic wash. For some reason, convinced myself I shouldn't do it any more, cancelled the membership, went like three weeks without a wash, finally hand washed in my driveway last night and thought "omg this sucks!"
Going back to renew my membership today, LOL.
I don't mind laying down a wax coat with my orbital buffer every now and then to maintain the shine, but dammit, I can't bear walking up to a dirty car any more.

White is easy to mask car wash scars... don't want to do that on a black car though LOL

Put some Meguiar's Ceramic Wax on after a wash and forget about washing your car for weeks... Dirt doesn't adhere... :wiggle:

I used to be that anal retentive car guy. Wash the car every week, detail once a month, park far away from others etc. Age is a big equalizer for me. Now my time is better used for bigger things in life such as family, friends and colleagues and health. I will take my car thru a car wash once a month and not care one bit if it creates swirl masks, scratches etc. It feels good not to worry about a cars exterior. I'm still anal about the engine and proper maintenance but that's about it.

Lucky you! You’re free at last! Unlike me!😵‍💫 Chains of clean car obsessive compulsiveness!

I'm with you... Park far away or find an end spot and park on the outside line... Otherwise, look at vehicles and judge who would be careful with their doors. No dings, dents, scrapes or scratches so far after 5 years...
The weather here in eastern PA is gorgeous right now (79F) so a wash and wax is in the plan. That's on my driveway...

Own our other car, Audi convertible, for 7 years now and still ding free.
After much hesitation, I had these magnetized vinyl signs made for each side of each car. So far, they’ve worked well and not made anyone mad, either! Still park all the way “in Nebraska,” as my wife says, as she rolls her eyes and shakes her head! But no dings!

To answer the OP's initial question... I would try to wash the car myself. If you don't like doing it yourself there are car washes that use water only. No brushes, felt wheels, or anything else touches your car. Only water.
When the weather turns really bad here in Pennsylvania this is what I use. Being in Socal you should be able to find one of these somewhere. GOOD LUCK!
