Lexus ES300 Hybrid Mechanic
 

Hi,
I'm getting 2024 Lexus ES300 hybrid and I was wondering :

1) While I have Manufacturer Warranty shown below, when should I use Lexus and when Toyota dealer service?
2) After Manufacturer Warranty (4 -6 years), do you know of a good Lexus mechanic in East Bay, around Fremont, CA. ?

Manufacturer Warranty
Basic : 4 years (y) or 50K miles, wheel alignment 1y or 12k miles
Powertrain: 6y or 70K miles
Hybrid Systems: 8y or 100K miles

My preference is to have the local Toyota/Lexus dealer do the maintenance while under warranty so there is no concerns as to whether it was done if a problem arises. You don't have to, some people DIY oil changes, just keep the receipts. I find the Toyota dealer is closer (5 min drive vs 40 min drive) and a few dollars cheaper than the Lexus dealer so I have no problem going there for oil changes (the engine is common with the RAV4, Sienna, Camry, Venza, etc.).

Don't know any specific East Bay mechanics, but I go to SJ area. PM if you want more info.
