Espresso Bird's Eye Maple trim.
 

Did they get rid of this trim? If so, what year, and why?

Bird's Eye has been discontinued and I believe it was in 2015. Simply a change in trims by Lexus I would guess... I had it in my 2013 and liked it.

I had it in my 2013, and I liked it too.

My 2018 also had it. I factory ordered it. It was the best trim (other than piano black, which wasn't available with the premium package).

So I guess they stopped it sometime after that.

One other observation was that in 2013, the gear shifter had the bird's eye maple in the wood trim.

In 2018, there was no trim in the gear shifter.
