The wife's 2020 ES 350 has started a seat issue. BOTH driver and passenger side lower SEAT cushion does Not heat up. However the back/upper part of the seat on both sides still heats up. I have NOT checked for a bad fuse yet. I have called the dealership and it is NOT under warranty . From what I've been able to find is that most likely the seat cushion itself has malfunctioned and needs replaced? Anyone had this problem/ and fixed ?

Seems unlikely that both driver’s and passenger’s identical seat heaters would fail at the same time. I would look for something common to both, like your initial fuse suggestion. Unfortunately, I. Am not familiar with the electrical system and cannot offer help, but I know there are some here that should be able to offer useful suggestions.

I'd like to invoke back only heating on demand; i.e. my back is tight but don't want to cook my butt.
The bottom portion of my seat stopped heating. Took it in to the dealer and they fixed it on warranty. They diagnosed it as a an inoperative heating element. Supposedly, if it had not been on warranty, they claimed it would have been in the neighborhood of a $3k repair because they had to remove the leather from the seat to get at the heating element. Apparently very labor intensive.
