The design of the Qi charger changed from 19 to 20, as shown in the attached pictures. The updated one seems far less obtrusive and more functional for modern phones. Does anyone know if the mounting points and connectors are interchangeable? Has anyone done this update?

First of all, the mounting points are different.

 

A salvage search seems to indicate the entire center console is interchangeable between 19 and 21. If that's the case, and I can source one from a parts breaker, and the wiring connectors didn't change year over year, (...sure...it'd be a project...but...) wouldn't this all just be plug and play...?

 

if you can get the console then yes, it will be plug-and-play.
