Engine Compartment Detail Cleaning ES300h
Hello to all...
Anyone have any experience on detailing your engine compartment? I Iive where there is a lot of dust and would like to get it cleaned but don't want any damage occurring. Any advice/insight would be appreciated!
BTW, I also asked my local dealership, they said $150.
Thx

Just a damp cloth with a bit of car wash soap on the metal and plastic bits, go slow around the high voltage orange parts. I don't bother with parts that aren't visible like the exhaust manifold. Don't ever soak or spray a hybrid's engine bay. I give it a wipedown after every wash and it still looks like new after 4 years.

Thx for both comments. I think doing it myself is a much better plan. I called a local car detailing shop and they didn't seem to know much. Also, my next question was what type of cleaners? I'll try out Aerospace 303 which I've heard of. Thx @bc6152

303 Protectant is great product. Also use on anything vinyl, rubber, plastic, fiberglass, synthetic, etc. It has UV protection as well. I have a boat and it works great on the vinyl seats, and stainless steel. They have a new leather cleaner, but I have not yet tried that one. They also have a 303 Fabric Guard that works great on boat covers and is recommended by Sunbrella fabrics for outdoor furniture, as it UV protection and restores water repellent feature to the fabric.
