Default New to Lexus

Hello All
I’m not sure if this is correct area to post my arrival. Anyway
I just purchases my first Lexus on Saturday morning. 2018 ES 350:
Atomic Silver
Stratus Gray Leather
Espresso Bird’s Eye
Ultra Luxury Package
18” Split-10-spoke Alloy with high-gloss finish

That said, I will definitely be spending some time on here learning from you guys. My first and main concern is how most people go about inputting quality sound on the Mark Levinson system. I realize that you only get out what you put in. What are the best formats to achieving high quality sound from the system? All for now.
John

Congratulations! As far as the ML system goes, forget good quality from XM radio as it is overly compressed. Also be sure to adjust the treble, bass, and mids to your liking on each different sourcce as each one is independent of the other. For quality of the sound source, Audio DVD would be excellent and then MP3 music at a high bit rate (256k would be good) on a USB thumb drive or iPod/iPhone, then CD, and digital FM radio. Of course this is just my opinion so your mileage may vary.

Welcome and congrats! As has been said, forget SiriusXM. DVD-Audio, which is pretty rare, will get you the best sound. You have to jump a few hurdles to get it to play, though, so probably not worth the time. CD's are next, followed by high bit rate MP3's. Pandora and Slacker sound good at their highest quality setting. The most impact I noticed was the Surround DSP setting. The ML sounds horrible with any source when it's enabled.

welcome and congrats on your lexus!

to add, CD to WAV file or lossless mp3 encoding would yield some good clarity and great sound

Yes, congrats and welcome to the jungle (whoops, wrong greeting...)
First thing you should do is go back to the dealer and order a set of side moldings. They will save your doors on both sides and I actually think they improve how the car looks.
Without them the side is too plain.

+1 Second that. Shortly after buying my car I put them on and they have saved me a ding.

Echoing Mike728 regarding Pandora and Slacker, download Lexus Enform App Suite and
add your logins for them to LEAS to permit hands free control. Another app to have includes
Lexus Roadside Assistance USA.

Consider changing the Lane Keep Assist "LKA" sensitivity setting to High from default Standard.
Will reduce the oscillation back and forth across the lane.

Have you found the Weather Channel yet? Either press console Menu and then Info/weather or
to show off to new passengers just press the talk/speech steering wheel button and say "show forecast"!
