Default Es300h steering stiffening

Just past my 50k warranty by 200miles I start to feel that steering isn’t as light and easy to turn as before. It feels heavier. I checked and filled the air to 33psi but not much difference. I searched the forums for the same issue and surprised to see that this is an electronic power steering. So there are no leaks or fluids to replenish.

Before i eat up s lot of time taking the car to the dealer was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this and it there was a simple resolution.

You probably know this but here is a thought. The steering gets heavier going from lightest Eco, to Normal and then to Sport being the heaviest. Did you check the settings to see if there is a difference?

Default Econ norm sport

Yes I read this on the forums. I always have had it on Econ. I’ll try the other settings and see if I notice a difference.

Tested and focused on the settings and I do notice that it becomes heavier as I go from ECON to NORMAL to SPORT. But, I've always driven on ECON and now it seems this setting's steering is stiffening up.

I would think your dealer would give you a little slack on this issue - I would certainly take it in right away and see what they say. You are saying it is tightening up even more than ECON mode?
