Just picked up the 2016 ES 350 and it's probably me misunderstanding the Eco - Normal - Sport mode option. I understand pushing the button is suppose to take it to Normal Mode but it just stays in Eco mode or Sport mode only. Button rotates fine to either but it just will not switch it off of either when it's pushed to go to Normal. Thoughts? I cannot find anything searching forums.

If depressing the **** does not take it out of Eco, or Sport mode, something is not right. You should still be under factory warranty, so just take it in and have it looked at.

The way you can tell if it is working is when you are in Sport mode, the lower part of the gauge turns Red. In Eco mode it turns Blue. In normal mode it is not lit or black.

With the default setup, in Normal mode the driver display won't say anything. In Eco mode, "Eco Mode" shows up in blue and in Sport mode, "Sport mode" shows up in red.

If you have the hybrid, Sport mode also changed the hybrid power display to a tachometer.

What makes you think that it is not switching to Normal Mode when you press the driving mode button? In the upper left corner of the instrument cluster, there is a small green "eco" indicator that lights up if you are driving in an economical manner, but it is not an indicator of which drive mode the car is in. Could it be the case that you are confusing that indicator with being in the eco mode? Also note that, if you go into the settings, you can disable the eco indicator if you don't want it to operate.
