Hi Guys,

so im from canada and
i have a 2013 lexus es350. I took it to my guy to install a remote starter and i he baiscally finished the installation and ran into this issue where the car keeps saying "key fob not detected".

He is an experienced installer and he's saying it makes no sense because the bypass module is supposed to override that and start the car. He called the place where they sell the module, and those guys walked through with him all the wiring and they also concluded that they're not sure why it's not working.

Now does anyone have a remote starter installed on their car that works?

By the way, the way he was isntalling it was using the regular key fob where you press it 3 times and hold.

I also called my lexus dealer and they said they don't sell started for car below 2015 year.

Can someone help?

I have 13' ES350 (US Market) and they do sell a lexus factory remote start kit for the car. Its <$100 and in all integrated. The range is limited as Lexus fobs don't work long distances. Furthermore when you open the door the engine cuts off. If that's ok with you then get the factory system installed. Part number PT398-33131 and I made a thread about it sometime back, if you want more info.

ok thanks, I’ll check it out. I read ur thread and looks like it’s a little troublesome installing it.

if I don’t have the machine to program it, how much does the dealer charge?

also, why are people paying $269 to buy the 12v plug and play starter instead of this one? When both used the factory remote?
