Default Installing front bumper-cover

Hello, All,
I'm almost finished installing the front bumper-cover on my 2013 ES350. What 's holding me back is that I cannot get the fog-light lens to be completely flush with the chrome escutcheon. The gap was a quarter of an inch in some spots. I've tried quite a few approaches but the best I've been able to do, at this point, is to have most of the lens in contact with the chrome but still have gap of about a sixteenth of an inch here and there. May I add that all components of this unit are properly in place,as contradictory as that sounds! Please help if you can.

I don't understand what you're asking. Is this some aftermarket cover you're trying to install?

Default Front bumper cover

Thanks for your interest, Mike. The bumper cover is OEM. The issue is with the fog lights; I cannot get the lens to be flush with its chrome-plated trim. Rather, there is a large gap between the lens and its trim. No matter what I try I cannot fully close that gap. I'm overlooking something obvious, I suppose.

Jim, I can't help with your '13, but I looked at my '17 and the fog lights don't fit tight against the black piece the '17s have. There is about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch gap.

Maybe yours is normal? Maybe drop by the dealer and look at another '13? They're bound to have one.

Default ES Bumper Cover

Popgun, thanks for checking your own car. As it turns out I did exactly what you suggested, but at a mall. I was shopping and found my year ES and sure enough, it had the same gap that I (and you) have.
Thanks again,
Jim
