A big reason why I actually buy Lexus is the strong AC system. I've owned 4 so far and all had exceptionally strong AC. That may sound like a silly reason to buy a car, but in hot AZ, it really is a game changer. I owned a Saab years ago and one of the reasons I had to get rid of it was the AC was just barely adequate despite nothing being wrong with it. Same with a Volvo I owned.

The European cars in my experience are the worst when it comes to ice cold AC. I have a relative with a new Mercedes and borrowed it for a few days, I couldn't believe the difference. Here was an $80k full size SUV and it just barely kept the sweat off of you. Granted it was well over 100 degrees, but my Lexus handled it fine.
