Weather on GPS Screen?
Is there any way, via an iPhone app or XM, to get up to date weather on the GPS/multi-media screen? I drive a ton for work and occasionally am driving around storms, and getting weather maps on the big screen would be really useful. Between XM and my iPhone I would think there is someway to get a weather map on the dashboard screen. Anybody?

This may or may not help but I have a '16 and I am pretty sure the weather map (as well as traffic) if from the HD radio signal. I also have SiriusXM so couldn't be 100% but 90%+ sure it's from HD radio. I do believe in earlier model's it was a requisite to get SiriusXM to get traffic and weather.

With the 2013 and 2014 ES, the weather and traffic information required a paid satellite radio subscription. For either the 2015 or 2016 model year (I can't recall which), that was changed, and, now, getting the weather and traffic information does not require an active satellite radio subscription for those later model year ES.

The subscription Weather and Traffic from XM was completely worthless, low res, slow update and they
had a lot of nerve asking for you to pay for it. The Weather Channel and Traffic Info coming through the
HD carrier signals is terrific, 3X more roads covered, 2X quicker refresh and free forever. The Weather
Channel is also wonderful, even has a map on Nav equipped cars.

Weather radar on GPS receiver
Being a pilot, I have wanted this combination on auto GPS receivers for years now. I would like to select alternate roads to avoid severe weather as well as traffic snarls.
