I did a search and came up empty. This is from Lexus:
Battery: 12-Volt (Auxiliary Battery)he original-equipment 12-volt battery, located behind the rear seats, is a sealed, maintenance-free special application battery that is different from a conventional automotive battery.
Replacement batteries are available from your Lexus dealership. :-(

The only thing I can think of why it is different as it is in an enclosed area and not under a non-sealed hood.

I agree. This is not a conventional car battery. I think The D26 indicates the size and what type of battery it is. It is an AGM battery, like bc6152 mentioned. It is sealed, maintenance free and from what I read it lasts longer than a conventional battery.
I am wondering whether you can get this battery from other sources other than Lexus knowing what type of battery it is.
If anybody manages to get this battery from other sources and it works, I hope they post their experience on this forum.

As previously mentioned, the battery is available online and at various retail outlets for substantially less than $375.00...

Can you post a link to one online or retail outlook? I tried Advanced, Rock and Pep-Boys and they say they do not have one for the ES300h. I saw posts that Toyota dealers charge $375 for the Avalon 12v Battery. Thankfully I do not need one now but someday I will and want to know my choices. Thanks bc.

If the AGM battery lasts up to 2x the life of conventional battery this means that this battery should last at least 10 years. In that case even if you paid $375, it is still not a bad deal. And for a lot of people this would be maximum one time in the ownership period.

Both Walmart and Pepboys sites when you search under a ES300h or RX 450h no battery fit shows.

This Optima says it fits the Prius: https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-u...ttery/ds46b24r

I wonder why it wouldn't work in the ESh.

I think If you can find a battery that matches group size: S65D26R and minimum CCA 450A then it would fit

Wow this is less than what I expected. I have had regular batteries last longer than that. Maybe the hot weather in Florida shortens the life of a battery. I have couple questions. How many miles you have on the car? and do you keep your car in a covered garage while at work and when parked at home or not? but,Thanks for the feed back anyways.
