Heated wiper option
Wife just got a 2014 CPO ES. I noticed that it does not have the heated wiper option, yet it looks like the heaters are in the windshield, both at the rest position along the bottom, and vertically along the drivers pillar.
Could this possibly be activated by adding the button in the dash and installing a fuse.
That would be cool, but not likely, huh?

The window is heated not the wipers themselves.

Thanks for the replies. When am I going to learn to look in those books first! Glad to know I have that feature. I thought I remember seeing a physical dash button for that somewhere online, but maybe I'm wrong. I have to start reading all those books in my glove compartment.

You have the factory de-icers. Go into the climate menu, then in the lower right hand corner you will see an elipses (three dots ...). Click on that and you see the menu for climate options. The third option down looks like a windshield (below A/C, and DUAL). Select that windshield icon and it turns the deicer on. It helps keep the wipers from freezing in that muck at the bottom of the windshield on those cold snowy days, but don't expect a ton of difference. They only stay on for 10 minutes before they automatically shut off.
i turned that button on but it automatically turns off after 1 min. I don't think this is for wiper deicer. Picture is attached

Your picture is for the cabin recycle filter....air entering the cabin normally goes through
the cabin air filter (located at the back of the glove box). If you are driving with the windows
and/or sunroof open and you get a face full of dust, soot or pollen you select that filter button
to take the air already in the cabin and run it through the filter. Note: the regular button for
recirculate/auto/fresh air does close the damper to keep out foul air but does not function
the same as this climate screen button.
Regarding the original thread and the windshield wiper bed heaters... you do not have them
as there would be a fourth (4th) icon for that feature

But my car do have the heaters under the wiper blades under the windshield. So why they put them if they don't work?

Perhaps the windshield was replaced and they used one with the wires?
Tough for a glass shop to stock every variation of 1) regular glass,
2) glass with the rain sensing wiper module 3) glass with heated wipers
4) glass with both those options...

A bit of "shade tree engineering" could provide a circuit. The glass
will have a pair of wire leads attached to the lower back side of
the windshield that would have connected to leads coming up from
under the dash. CT200h's and RC's have a conventional hardwired
switch for their Heated Wiper Blade Beds and you could them or any
electrically similar switch to connect to the fuse block. My concern here
is that I think getting to the windshield leads might involve...removing
the #$%^ glass...

It’s my impression that marketing plays a big role in the option packaging on these cars. I imagine they use many of the same parts (like the windshield) but the circuitry simply isn’t there to support it unless it comes with the appropriate package. As mcomer suggests, it could be as simple as rigging a switch if all the wiring and fuse is in place. I have my doubts it will be that simple. Unfortunately, I don’t have the skills to either wire this up or answer your question. Hopefully someone on this forum can help with a definitive answer.

Since the OP's vehicle doesn't have the option, I would guess the installer clipped any wires that may have been there during the replacement.
