Talking New to the ES Club!!!

Hey everyone, you may have seen my other post asking about buying an ES. Well I am currently at the dealership with approved financing and am waiting to sign my paperwork. I'm officially buying a 2013 ES300h Ultra-Luxury with Nav and Mark Levinson. She has 55k miles which originally worried me but everyone's talk on here about reliability has me reassured. I have 2 years/unlimited mileage warranty as it is a CPO. I am excited to own a Lexus and hope it makes me want to stay in the Lexus family from here out!!! Sadly, the WRX I am trading in failed to do so..... CHEERS!!! (Pics to follow, when I can take them)

Congrats and welcome! I was just mentioning to my brother earlier today that my 2014 ES/UL/ML, same as you but not hybrid, has 39,000 miles and I've only done oil changes. So I've been happy so far and part of my decision was based on reliability since I keep my cars for ten or more years.

Congrats and welcome to Club Lexus. There is a lot of good information here - along with a lot of strong opinions. The unspoken rule is "it didn't happen if there aren't pictures" so let's see some pictures of your new ride!

Congrats on your purchase. We too have a '13 es300h with the ultra luxury package and ML stereo. The stereo sound is fantastic, much better than the standard to my ears. Overall we love the car and have intentions of keeping it for many years. Realibility has been very good, mileage mid to high 30's and often topping 40 (actual, not per on board display). We like the car much better the sister Toyota Avalon.

A side note, my wife loved the seats and agreed to the TST leather treatment. Major mistake! The seats got slippery and felt much harder to the touch. Within 1 year, we were seeing significant wear marks in the drivers seat. We brought it to the dealers attention wondering if the treatment was not intended for the semi-aniline leather. They suggested refinishing the seat. Looked ok at first but 3 months later, it appeared to not have been repaired at all. Dealer suggested replacing the seat side boosters. I said, we did it your way first, now you are doing it my way ... replace all the leather under warranty. They agreed and replaced the complete driver seat leather without any treatment. Looking at the passenger seat, we are beginning to see the same problem. Our seats are the ivory color and I am seeing a yellowing tint to it. The car was certified when purchase 18 months ago at 37Kmiles. It just turned 60K.

Has anyone had any issues with the TST Leather protector?

I don't think my seats had the TST leather treatment...again it's 4 yrs/55k miles and they still look amazing
