Greetings,
my car's left DRL "Daytime running light" is not working.
so, I went to lexus spare parts shop in order to buy a new one but they said
" the DRL cannot be sold alone. You have to buy the whole unit" which will cost me $643.
The part number of whole unit that i mean is
my quistion : is it possible to buy the DRL replacement without buying the whole unit?
thanks

I would try eBay or a junkyard.

That part number is correct for 2013 MY forward up to 2016. I would do what Mike says and call some salvage yards.

Does your ES have more than 50,000 miles on the odometer? If it doesn't, I would think that the DRLs on a 2014 ES should still be covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty.
While I know that bulbs are among the items that are excluded from warranty coverage, it would appear that, with the DRLs not working, it isn't just a bulb burning out, but, instead, the failure of the entire DRL component. The fact that you can't just replace a bulb would seem to support that interpretation.
If the dealer is not supporting a warranty claim, I would suggest appealing that decision with Lexus corporate.

A little off topic but non-working DRL LEDs is a common problem with late model Honda Accords and they replace he entire assembly which requires bumper removal etc. under warranty. I believe they said the cost would be something like $1,250. Surely Lexus will do the same.
