I wanted 18 inch wheels but the factory Lexus 18s are so ugly. I like to keep the car a OEM look, so I decided to go with the Avalon 18's. Also I went with 235 45 18 instead of 225 45 18.

I don't personally mind the look of the stock 18s, but these also look good in my opinion. Plus it makes the look a bit more custom/unique, which is important to many people. The most important thing is that YOU like them!

You can certainly tell by the wheels that the Avalon is more "sport" oriented. And our Es's are pure luxury cause the 18s from Lexus are way more luxurious. But anyways nice change def not my cup of tea but as long as you like it that's what matters.

I think they look pretty good... but I believe I prefer the Lexus 18's, but that's just my opinion... as someone else said, the only one whose opinion here matters is yours....

The avalon wheels are exact same spec as the Lexus wheels. Only thing i dont like about the new wheesl is that its bright silver, i would prefer a darker color but in the same design. My speedo is more acurate since it was alredy off from the factory.

Yes and no. The 235/45-18 tires add about 1/3 of an inch to the wheel + tire diameter. That increase will cause the speedometer and odometer readings to change, but the change will only be that the readings will be a bit over 1% lower than what they would have been with the factory 225/45-18 tires.

yes you are correct in a way. My factory wheels were off by 1% already, reading 1% faster than what it suppose to be. By adding bigger tires, changing the overall diameter by 1%, its actually accurate now.

Toyota/Lexus speedometers always read about 2MPH fast.

That's interesting, your mods to me are the same way, sport oriented (blacking out chrome, lips, spoiler, quad exhaust) and take away from the luxury look IMHO.

I have the 18" , I just dont care for silver...I like black PVD chrome or as some call it ECO Chrome, but they are hard to find.

19s would have had a huge impact on the ride though...

While bigger wheels look better.. Your ride will be rougher.. Ive only had 18 on my Lexus so I dont know if 17s are cushier or not

Put on 25" or 26" and you won't need tires.
