I guess the new grill has a love it, hate it reaction. I am in the hate it category. But as long as you like it, that is what matters most. I also wanted a Japanese made car after having experienced bad reliability of GM early in my teenage years. 2015 fit that nicely.
you can't go wrong with Toyota/Lexus in terms of reliability. My previous car was an 08 Toyota Avalon. 110k miles on it and not a single problem, except a malfunctioned rear center brake light. Just keep up with the fluids/filters Change and you are good to go.

Yes, I know. My Corolla had about 205,000 miles. I still wanted Japanese assembly after bad experiences.

We sold our 2011 RX 350 on Craigslist just in time to get in on the deals expiring tomorrow.
Congrats, that looks like a really good deal. Enjoy the new car!!

Sent you a PM. It looks like they still have 12 on the lot with the Luxury package.

Hi all,

First time member here and maybe very soon to be first time Lexus owner!

Urgently need your opinion and advice on an offer that I have in hand for a new 2017 ES 350 in the SF Bay Area of CA. The MSRP is $42,860. Quoted price (inclusive of dealer discount and $2,500 Lexus cash) of $34,804. This quoted price is exclusive of taxes and fees (which should be around $3,800 ($3,270 tax, $450 DMV fee, $80 doc fee).

This vehicle essentially does NOT have navigation, but has the premium package and the following other options:
PackagesP Z1 Trunk Mat, Cargo Net, Wheel Locks & Key GlovesAccessoriesF BD Blind Spot Monitor w/Rear Cross Traffic AlertF FT 17" Split 10-Spoke Machined Finish WheelsF HS Heated and Ventilated Front SeatsF PA Intuitive Parking AssistF PM Premium Package: Lexus Memory Sys for Driver's Seat, Outside Mirrors & Steering Wheel, Power Tilt-and-Telescopic Steering Wheel, Wood Interior Trim, Remote Keyless Entry-Linked MemoryF WU Wood & Leather Trimmed Steering Wheel
Thanks!

that’s a pretty good deal. $37,304 is 13% off the MSRP before the Lexus Cash. With the Lexus Cash, that’s 19% off MSRP.
i am in the SF Bay Area too and I got a 2017 base version, with no options nor accessories at ~21% off MSRP, which includes the $3000 Lexus Cash promotion ended 9/5.

BTW, you will need to pay the sales tax on the $2500 Lexus Cash.

Do you guys think Lexus Cash will increase in October? Maybe I should wait 1 more month.

Inventory is dwindling - Cerritos normally has around 120 ES's in stock - they show 45 now. Chances are most other dealers are in the same boat.

I agree.

In August and early September, ES inventories at most dealers were significantly reduced. Some of the lower volume dealers are down to just a handful of 2017 ES vehicles.

Even if the rebates go any higher, I doubt that they will increase past $3000, and, even if they do go that high, choices of colors, packages, options, etc. will likely become limited.

Thanks to those who chimed in on my proposed deal from last Friday! I picked up the car on Saturday for essentially 19% off MSRP (exclusive of taxes and fees).

For those interested in the remaining 2017's and wondering if the Lexus cash will increase for October, I asked my sales guy about the same. He basically said that the Lexus cash rebate is unlikely to increase next month, since the 2017 inventories are pretty much cleared down to manageable levels where Lexus doesn't need to further incentivize its sales.

The Lexus cash was $3k last month and $2.5k this month. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it just stayed the same or even drops to $2k flat for next month. Assuming you're in the market, if you can still find a 2017 model with the specs that you want and can get at least 18-19% off MSRP, I'd say just go for it.

Congrats on the new ES!

Oh, and don't believe anything a dealer tells you regarding anything they sell. He may be right this time, but he's just in it for the sale.

Yes - unfortunately, Pens could not afford to keep two great goaltenders.
