Default 2013 ES 350 Bluetooth disabled?

I just picked up a 2013 ES 350 and I'm trying to connect my phone to it via Bluetooth. When I go into the Bluetooth settings it shows the Bluetooth Power item with the setting set to off and is disabled so I'm not able to turn it back on. I also tried setting it back to the original defaults and that does nothing. Another weird thing I notice is that when I'm in these screens the back button does nothing either, I have to hit the main menu button to get out. Is there something I'm missing or should I take it to a dealer to have it looked at?

Some more information about this problem. Here is a pic of what I see on the Bluetooth settings screen. The Bluetooth power set to off and disabled.

The software information and no current version for Bluetooth. Is this typical?

I don't remember anyone ever complaining of your issue. Probably why you're not getting any responses.

I'm guessing you didn't buy it from a Lexus dealer. If you did, I assume you would have already brought it to their attention. That's where I would take it to have it analyzed.

Keep us posted. Good luck!

I purchased it at a Toyota dealership in Bellingham WA. Since it's under warranty I took it to a local Toyota dealership but they had no clue so they referred me to the nearest Lexus dealer. I called them but they weren't able to resolve it over the phone. By looking at that screen with the software versions it almost seems as if the software or driver needed for Bluetooth is not installed. I go to Lexus's site to look for software updates and their site says only 2014 or newer? Why would they leave out 2013 it's still the latest generation? Are there other places on the internet where I can find latest version of the software for this vehicle?

My menu is actually a little different but the Bluetooth power is "on". My Nav version has a completely different number. It is my understanding Lexus changes out some of the electronics such as the Nav units during the lifecycle of a vehicle generation so I wouldn't assume they are all the same since the 2013 model year.

Unfortunately, I don't have a specific answer for you, but I wanted to offer that clarification. Good luck and as Mike728 already stated, keep us posted.

Will do. I'm assuming the local Lexus dealer will help me get it sorted out since I have a warranty correct?

You're covered by the factory warranty for 4 yrs, 50k miles. So, if you're under the mileage, you should check when the car was first purchased/leased.

It has 29k miles and was initially leased around June of 2013. I also bought an additional warranty to cover it up to 100k miles.

All good! Take it in and let them diagnose and fix it, then report back.

Some more info on the Bluetooth problems. From the main menu I go to Info/Apps > Apps and see the following error message displayed in the image below. Wish there was a StackOverflow post for this, problem solved in about 60 seconds or less.

Are you saying it was fixed over the phone?

Not yet. I'll probably drop by the service center on Saturday if I can't get it figured out.

So I was able to get the vehicle into the service center today and they said they need to replace the stereo head unit. Apparently this particular part takes a while to get a hold of and they won't have it until Wednesday. Thankfully they loan out nice loaner vehicles.

Bluetooth is back up and running, I almost didn't want to turn in the 2017 RX 2017 loaner.
