I've noticed a whining sound from the steering when I turn the wheel at low speeds. It's noticeable when the car is running on battery whereas I can't hear it when the engine kicks in. The sound is like a servo running - if you've watched Robocop, it's that sound his neck makes when he turns his head.

Any other ES300h owners notice this? I know it's an electric system but I didn't expect it to be this loud.

Chrome, I'd drove my 300h today to check out the ps. I hear a slight whirl only if I'm not moving and turning the steering wheel. When moving, there's enough road noise to mask the sound. I think that's normal.
