Smart key reprogramming. ....any success?
Hi team,
I bought a used key fob from ebay and dealer could not reprogram to my car. I am new to this forum, appreciate your help.

I bought a car that only had one key fob and I tried taking my rx key which looks exactly the same as my LS keys to the dealer today to get my rx key reprogrammed to my LS key... He said it couldn't be done...
He said behind the key fob there are numbers that has like fcc id followed by some letters...
Those letters and numbers has to match exactly to have that specific key fob reprogrammed... Not sure if he was bluffing but he had made a phone call to someone and that was the explanation he was given over the phone. Hope this helps
