Default Strut-Tower Bar

Decided to purchase a Strut-Tower bar for the ESh. It's made very well, looks great, and is rock solid. I think it made the car a little bit faster! Enjoy!

Where did you get that? I know tanabe had a prototype but never sold a single unit. I was thinking of making my own. In need of one bad to keep my 350 stable on hard turns.

On EBay. $139 shipped. It's made very well. Not sure if it fits the e350 though.

Thanks, I message the seller asking if it'll work on the 350 and if they can send pics to confirm it will. The strut tower mount looks identical, I think it'll work.

I'm curious as to what this strut bar is designed to do for the car.

A strut tower brace with help stiffen the front suspension by providing added support to the strut towers, preventing flex during cornering.

Some strut bar manufacturers claim that it could make the car quieter. Did it make any difference on yours on this aspect?

I don't think it makes it quieter. It stiffens the chassis up and makes the car more rigid. The car will feel more solid.

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys that have installed these would provide some reviews. Love the pictures, but would also love to hear what it has done for the driving dynamics. Now that you can substantiate the difference, would you do it again?

Thanks.

Being lowered on D2 coilovers on full stiff dampers and 19s inch wheels, my car drives horrible! I definitely feel the difference with the strut bar on. Keeps the front from swaying and from bottoming out the dampers while turning. Keeps the front planted to the ground. It improved the overall handling and comfort of the car. I'm happy with my purchase would buy it again.

There's no real way to measure whether the bar has any effect under normal street driving conditions, but I *think* the car feels more rigid. Either way, generally speaking, you can never "over brace" your vehicle because you want it as rigid as possible. Every little thing helps in keeping the car solid.

Just keep in mind it may also alter the way the crumple zones work in a crash.

Jollick - that is an interesting thought and I believe you are right.

Your car was made for the strutbar. it looks like you have some adjustable camber plates too... nice.

If I drove on a lot of bad roads like the NE I would put this on. plus its worth 10hp! easy
