I'm 47. I've owned 6 Lexus from 2000 to present . Got my first when I was 33. Currently own 13 RX & 15 ES.
Wouldn't drive anything else.

A question to everyone, why did you buy a Lexus vs. BMW, Benz, Infiniti, Acura, Cadillac or Lincoln? I went from a TSX/Accord Euro to an ES because it was huge and cheap compared to everything else. I find it satisfies my occasional slight need for speed but I prefer a relaxed, quiet ride most of the time.

You're going off-topic here chrome. The thread is about age.

Yeah, I guess I am... Just a quick analysis of mine. Based on the previous posts, it seems like there are the usual older Lexus buyers who bought the ES for its quiet and comfy ride, yet there's also a younger bunch who appreciate the same thing. The latter is a market which few automakers are targeting. Somehow most car makers think young=fast when that isn't necessarily true.

Bought my first Lexus at age 33. It was an RX 300 and I bought it cause it was something new. A new model and a new class. The first lux SUV. Traded in a Buick Regal.
Loved the ride, the way it handled, and the way it looked. I've never looked back. I wouldn't consider any other make and I base that on the reliability of Lexus and the good Customer Service of my dealer.
I'm now driving a new ES. First car since the Buick. I love everything about this car.

36 and this is my first Lexus, actually wife's/family car. Had to work my way up the ladder and now I love it. Wouldn't buy any other brand, only Toyota/Lexus for me

I'm 33 and have a 2013 ES350. As to why Lexus vs all the other makes -I really wanted a BMW or Audi, but knew maintenance and "other issues" wouldn't fit into our schedule at this time. We now have an 8 month old daughter and just bought a house as well (these mortgage issues are ridiculous!) and just wanted a car with decent interior room that was "easy to maintain."

Made an acct just to give my $ .02...I bought a CPO 2013 on my 24th bday in Aug 2014. I too was under the impression that the ES was for the older crowd and was in the market for a new 328xi or a preowned 528xi. But after realizing every option on the Euro was going to cost me and I wouldn't feel comfortable w/o an extended warranty ($5k+) I went with the 350. Every option I wanted, and some, came with the price on the sticker and I got the certified warranty for 3 yrs from the date I purchased the car unlike the preowned BMW which started from the original purchase date. Couldn't be happier... I'll drive it until the wheels fall off.

I am 63 and this is my first ES350. Have bought Honda Accords before but got a good deal on this. I also had a Camry and feel that this is a big step up, contrary to what others say. I also had a Volvo and it was a money pit and was unreliable. Therefore, I have no desire to have a costly BMW or MB or Audi. The Hondas spoiled me about having cheap, reliable transportation. With the Lexus, I feel I am getting the best of both worlds.

I've bought many new cars in the past, usually trading them in on average 2-4 years. Never liked the idea of leasing. Losing so much value on a new car, decided to take a big jump and just spending the money and getting a great car. Lexus having such a great reliability history made this a no brainier. I'm hoping that this car will last 200k+ worry free miles, only worry is the so called "sealed transmission".

33 and this is my 2nd Lexus ( '15 ES 350 and 15' GX 460). I have always been a beemer fan but after 3 beemers I jumped ship to Lexus for reliability and resale value. I also love the new aggressive styling of Lexus in general.

Nice, how close to each other did you get them? Or did you get them together? Sometimes I wonder how much of a better deal you can get by getting more cars at the same time.

This is likely to skew the data, I’m a happy owner and driver of 2013 ES350, age 83. My first Lexus was a 2007 ES, and I have had my current model for less than two years, with 30K now on the odometer. Cross country driving is my passion. Home base is in Southern California and last week I did a two day “fun trip” to Tonopah, NV; heading to Tucson in a couple weeks for a visit with relatives.

My first California drivers license was at age 14, it was called a Junior Operators License. I’ve been retired for over twenty years so have plenty of time to get on the road. My ES is a joy; put an audio book in the CD, set the cruise and A/C, watch the scenery pass by—pure comfort.
