Default Anyone who got the 300h wishing they got another car?

I'm slowly moving towards the 300h. Anyone have any car they wish they had bought instead?

A GS300h maybe? Rare beast that one is, I've only seen one. A GS450h would be great but a bit pointless as far as hybrids go.

I just bought an ES350. For some reason I didn't even consider the ES300h. I'm not sure why since I traded in a Prius and am completely familiar with how well it works. Now after four fill-ups I'm kinda kicking myself for not at least giving one a test drive. The only thing that might have turned me off a 300h is the reported stiffer suspension, if that's even noticeable (or true). Knowing what I do about Toyota and hybrid technologies, I see no reason at all not to at least strongly consider an ES300h.

Few cars get you more than 40 mpg in the city and still keep a quiet cruise at 75 mph The engine is coarse and noisy though, unlike the smooth V6 in the 250 and 350. I'm fine with the noise because the single tank range is a ridiculous 1000 km.

The suspension is supposed to be stiffer because the 300h weighs 1750 kg compared to the ES350's 1600 kg. A lot of that extra weight is in the battery pack over the rear axle so it does make for interesting handling on mountain roads. The stock tires could also make the car feel firmer, Bridgestones and Dunlops being noisy and stiff while Michelin MXV4s are quieter and softer.

Just past the 5k mark on my ES300h and love it. The answer to your questions is no! I would purchase this car again.

After having a loaner ES350 when in for routine maintenance, I did not find it to be significantly faster, and the lack of the mpg compared to the 300h has made it a no brainier to me. I love the ES hybrid, and would definitely get another.

I love my ES300h and would buy it again. I don't notice that the suspension is stiff at all, but I have the Michelin 17 inch tires. My car just turned over 15,000 miles and I still am in love with it.

My only complaint about my ES300h is that I am still looking for a good place to stow a couple of umbrellas. The door-pockets could easily have been made long enough for folding umbrellas...

But, all things considered, I cannot think of any other car I would rather have. The runner-up was an Avalon hybrid.... basically the same car.

Get some small umbrellas? I stick some small ones in the front door pockets with a big one running next to the doors, under the seat. The ES is a big car but it doesn't have many useful storage spaces.
