App do you use for your iphone5? My GPS and verbal commands on my ES suck!
There must be someone out there that uses this. Feedback please! I have an '11 ES350

I got my '14 ES 350 UL/ML a month ago. We just took a road trip to take my son to college so I got to work out all the tech on the car. It was a blast. Love the ML system at 70 MPH--I can hear individual instruments! Anyway, I used the ES navigation and it seems to work great. I just hate entering letter by letter. That said, I also used Siri on my iPhone 5 and that works too. If you use Siri, ask for directions, then you have to tell Siri to "Start navigation" or something like that. That is, first ask for directions, then ask to tell you the directions. Folks forget the second part. I do like Siri Eyes Free. Anything that the iPhone can do through its speaker will come through the ES system. Including Siri, music, podcasts, app radio (if not using the ES app radio), very nice. Oh, yea, the ES voice commands are limited, but the system doesn't have a backend like Siri. Siri sends your voice commands to a trillion-gigabyte super computer for analysis. All the ES has is a little computer in the car. So yes, the ES will be limited. Use the iPhone navigation instead. Works great, too!

As far as apps, nothing still beats a Garmin hardware GPS.
