Default HID headlights

My UL stickered at $51,034 and included every option except HID and the rear bumper applique. I was a bit miffed that there were no HID lights included as my prior vehicle, a 2011 Lincoln MKZ had self adjusting HID lights. I wonder if they are compatible with the high beam automatic adjusting system. I have never seen a UL package in California that includes the HID headlights.

Maybe it's a California thing...
It sounds like we have the same car but I have the bumper applique which accounts for the extra $94 bucks my car was..

Default HID headlights

I checked with the dealer at my recent service and he said I didn't have HID headlights. I was surprised that with all the options in the UL package they were not included, yet the luxury package typically has them.

Most ULs I've seen here in California include HID including mine. They are compatible with the auto high beam assist

But do any of them have LKA and RCC? Those are the items that seem to be mutually exclusive with HID, at least around here.

Perhaps someone can look under their car to see if it has the height control as in the below diagram and take a photo of it so others can look.

I am not sure but it seems it would be connected to the Rear passenger side axle. I also remember someone saying they there is a auto levering warning light on the cars equipped with auto leveling HID headlights. See below.

The HIDs on the 2013 ES don't have an "auto leveling" system, but a "load leveling" system as shown in the diagram from the earlier post. This has been discussed previously in this forum. Do a search.

Is the "load leveling" a different symbol from the "auto leveling" system?

Thank you in advance.

Are you calling Lexus a liar? The picture above is from the ES owner's manual. I understand your terminology but they do call it Auto Leveling. The LS has a similar leveling sensor.
