Default Phone loses Nav screen bluetooth connection?

I took delivery on my 300H in January with a Mark Levinson system and my Samsung Android Galaxy phone connects OK but after 30 seconds or so I get a car message that the phone is disconnected. The tech specialist at the dealer has upgraded the firmware on the phone and the firmware on the car but the disconnect problems persists. He concludes the issue is with my phone and suggests I get a new one. The phone works just fine without using the car's system.
Has anybody else had this experience? Thanks, Frank

My Galaxy S4 never turns off.

I'd question is ability to update software on the phone. Updates are usually pushed to the phone OTA.

My HTC EVO 4G disconnects all the time. Same problem in my previous car, so I blame the phone. Dealer had me turn off wifi on the phone, and that helps (though not 100%, still disconnects sometimes). Apparently the wifi antenna can interfere with the bluetooth antenna, or something like that.

I can't be bothered turning off my wifi every time I enter the car, so I just live with it. Getting new phone soon anyway, hopefully that should solve the problem for good.

Maybe stay off the phone while navigating will solve the problem

Some folks just have to have a say in the discussion no matter
what.

Default bluetooth phone problems

My 2011 ES Bluetooth worked great with my Blackberry. When I changed to an HTC Rezound the ES would not longer display track names but was solid otherwise. My new 2013 maintains good connection with the phone but not the player. In order to maintain connection with the Rezound music player I have to shut down the phone as I start the car, put the phone bluetooth into visable mode and then connect thru the Nav system. Then I can play music. However, still no track names and if the CD download ends I loose connection. The dealer wasn't able to connect it when I purchased the car and I ultimately found the trick. So obviously something is different with the 2013 bluetooth. Also changing from a Blackberry to a HTC phone also made a difference. Thus this is far from a seamless system.

Very disappointed in the 2013 mileage and the same old lag in the transmission as it delays downshifting if you've had to brake just before. I love the car otherwise but probably my last ES or maybe Lexus. When I did a test drive it looked like they had fixed the transmission issue but obviously not.

I will say I got a great deal, took my 2011 leased vehicle with need for minor paint work and no 30 K service and mismatched tires with no drive off and almost $90 less per month on lease so I'm not too unhappy with the transaction so I can put up with it for another couple of years.

Not sure if this applies to you but my Windows Phone 8 disconnects from Bluetooth about 30 seconds after establishing a connection ONLY when it is plugged into a car charger. When it's not plugged into a charger the Bluetooth us solid.
