I wish they would just release a nice nav update that doesn't rely on external integrations like Siri. I'm biased since I'm a Windows Phone 8 user. But I test drove the Kia Cadenza and the nav was incredible. I just hit a button on the steering wheel and said "enter an address twelve hundred fifty smith street Houston texas" and boom it recognized it (even with shortcut wording) and we were rolling. Then for audio I could even specify the station. "XM one ten". Actually everything about the Cadenza beat the ES 350 in my opinion except for the look of the steering wheel and ventilated seats only being available on the driver's side. But I guess I'm a snob and couldn't rationalize dropping 40 grand for a Kia. I'm happy with my ES, but man that nav in there was clean and nice. The nav look and feel here is a bit primitive, but it is what it is. Awesome car nonetheless.

I doubt we will get any updates though. Seems like it would be a deployment and compatibility nightmare for them.

I beleive the Kia uses the same tech as Sync in the fords, and I have to say it works pretty well. I loved it in my explorer and MKZ.

This is one major area that I'm not happy with my Lexus - their Navi and Voice Command system. They need to be ahead of the curve, not behind others.

Agreed. The old NAV on my old car is one of the biggest incentives for me to upgrade. I have to wait for Acura to release the TLX and see if it is any good or wait for Lexus to jump ahead about 5 years from their from their current NAV tech - whichever comes first. I don't think it would kill them to support both mouse and touch screen input. I can buy a $350 laptop with that tech (that can also work as a GPS)... I'm pretty sure a $2000 dedicated navi system could support both.
