Default 2016 trunk spoiler template

I ordered a trunk spoiler from the parts dept of the local Lexus dealership for my newly purchased 2016 es350 at a cost of $265. I assumed that the spoiler was only attached by double stick tape, but was told after the part came in that a template was also needed for the install and was not included with the shipment of the spoiler. I was very surprised that there was an additional cost of $63 + tax to purchase a template for the 4 bolt install. Had I known that a template wasn't included, I wouldn't have made the purchase. Another option is having the dealer install at a cost of an additional $200.

Does anyone have a used template that they are willing to sell at a reduced cost?

Thanks in advance.

Google PT47A-33131

In my quick search, I've seen prices around $40. Not a huge discount, but something.

Check Ebay from time to time. There was one on there for $29.95 but was sold.

I would cut the bolts off and just install it with the double sided tape...people have done this on the GS forum. I wouldn't want to drill the trunklid. If you want the bolts, I'd pay the dealer the $200 to install so that if it ever rusts or there are any issues, its on them.

Why worry about $65 when you are buying a new luxury car like a Lexus? Realize everyone likes to save some money, but in the scheme of things it's a very small amount.

I would probably just have the dealer do it anyway

And to further drive home the point, that $65 tells you where to drill the holes on a $45,000 car. If I'm going to drill holes I will pay $65 yo know where to drill them.
