So here's the deal guys. I am in the process of buying the Lexus ES 350 UL. It has the pano roof, semi-aniline leather, ambient lighting, power rear shade and manual sides, heated steering wheel, seat extender, ML stereo, heated /ventilated seats, BSM with cross traffic alert HID's, intuitive parking, NAV, power trunk opener, etc...It just lacks the LANE DEPARTURE ALERT and PCS with DRCC. MSRP is $47,907.00 said they will lower it to $45,356.00 and out the door including tax, etc... is $49,638.00. I want to finance the car. If i put 5K down, monthly would be $780.00. Still sound high to me. I am working with the internet sales guy and this is my first offer. Need help! Thanks!

Is this a 2014? If not that purchase price is way too high! What interest rate and how many months is your loan?

By the way I was looking at a Fully loaded UL ES350 with a MSRP of $49,582 and I was getting it for $45,276 plus taxes and license.
Tell him you want it and least $1500 under invoice..

The invoice price for the ES is just a bit above 90% of the MSRP. Because of the way that Lexus combines its packages and options, it can be difficult or confusing to use a source like Edmunds to price a car with an exact combination of options, but using the 90% number will get you very close.

That's what I've concluded too. Invoice is around 90% of MSRP, +/-.

There used to be a time when the mark up from invoice to MSRP on options was much greater than it was on the basic vehicle price. With the ES, though, the markup for the basic vehicle is between 90% and 91%, and the markup on options is also consistent at between 90% and 91%. That makes it pretty easy to calculate the invoice price very quickly for any vehicle, regardless of how it is equipped. But that 90-91% applies only to factory installed options. If a vehicle has any dealer installed options, the markup will much higher, and dealer installed options are pretty much pure profit for the dealership.

You can always just ask the dealer for the invoice price too.

I bought the same ES350 UL in silver on 9/30 paid 43,175 which included the 750 dollar rebate for financing through Lexus at 2.49% . The rebate for October has been raised to 1K I live on LI. BTW check truecar.com you will get a list of several dealers around the same price as I received.

Yes the only number that matters is the before taxes number as sales taxes vary by state. The argeed upon sales price of my car was 43,175 on top of that I paid 60.00 dmv to transfer my plates a 75.00 documentation fee ( Max allowed in NY) & 12.50 tire fee. Also for the joy of living in Nassau county NY I get to pay 8.625% NY State sales tax. So given its the same car and the rebate is 250 more than last month you should be able to beat my deal. You can also use the bankrate.com calculaters to figure out your payments. I took the 2.49 % interest rate because the rebate was contingent on it other wise financing as low as 1.74 was availible form local banks like nefcu (nassau educator federal credit union) and anyone can join.

Go to truecar.com to see what invoice and the average price sold in your area.
Some will be better (like the 1.5K under invoice in CA) but you should really not pay anything over invoice on average.
