Navigation Voice Recognition Sucks
#31
"Lexus voice recognition SUCKS" is an extreme understatement!! When it can't recognize who you're trying to call(which is most of the time) it guesses at something close and asks if its correct then gives you 2 choices, Yes and No. When you respond with "No" it can't "Recognize The Command". It can't recognize the word "No" over and over and over again it can't recognize "No", the simplest word in the English language. My dog understands the word "No". My sisters cat understands the word "No", but my $50,000 Lexus can't! My service department say it's working correctly, well that's good news.

Across both Audi's I own and my new Lexus, I never use the voice command feature. I find it always taking much longer and more inconvenient than me just doing it the normal way. Only time I use it in my ES is to find an artist on my iPod, which it normally does pretty well.

I have come to use the voice recognition feature frequently and find it very convenient for many simple tasks such as using the phone or calling Destination Assist. While not 100% accurate, it rarely misses for me. The system could be designed better but as far as it accuracy, I find it extremely accurate. Considering there is no voice training, it appears to be quite a good system for many.

I found the voice recognition to be the biggest disappointment with my purchase. Enform would have made #1, but I just quit using it. I call destination assist any time I need to use navigation.
