Default ES 350 Gas Mileage Numbers!

Ok, I decided to get my fathers car and take it for a spin and wash it. Well the gas mileage wasn't that great for me so I'm wondering what everyone else is getting. I think I averaged 18MPG I thought it was suppose to get better than that. Maybe It's cause I have a heavy foot.

i'm getting 26 avg with mostly highway driving. It definitely gets good MPGs while cruising for being a 3500 lb sedan with a V6.

Really! seems there are not as many ES 350 owners and more 300h owners.

I've only filled up once, so I can't really say. The computer shows 26mpg since my last fill-up. I know those things are just for show, though. I'll calculate after my next fill-up and post it here.

I got just about that with all city driving before I added wheels. You have to drive like an old lady to get what the sticker says.

An easy way to see this is to turn on the Fuel consumption split on the Nav screen by clicking Map Mode and selecting Fuel consumption.

You'll see that most of the crappy mpg (18MPG) results from idling, especially at stoplights. The car gets up to speed so fast , you don't really spend a lot of time with your foot in it.

So, 18MPG in downtown Boston?

Default MPG Data

I have installed an app into the iPhone called Mileage Keeper. It is a very easy and complete method to keep MPG data on one or more vehicles. Check out the homepage at mileagekeeper.com. I have added a screen shot showing my recent fill-ups for a 2013 ES350. The events in February came from an interstate trip to Arizona (compare AZ prices vs. CA)

Default About 29 mpg for me

I drive about 90% highway.

On a full tank, I'll go about 390 miles before I fill up. My gas receipt shows that I put in almost 13 gallons, so the math comes to about 29 mpg.

My best was 30 mpg.
