Default H11 V-Leds Bulbs installed

Well I got the bulbs in the other day. Installed them this morning. I only removed the corner screws from the lower engine cover. Enough for me to reach in and remove the bulb. I bent the tabs on the LED bulbs a hair so they could snap in a bit easier. The bags said they where 8k not 6k like I ordered. V-Leds says they where maybe mis labeled. Here are the bulbs I ordered.http://www.vleds.com/6k-white-6-led-...11-1-pair.html

They are BRIGHT! Can't wait for the sun to drop so I can see how well they light up the road. Very happy with them. I have a 3 year old digital H11 6K kit installed in the factory projectors BTW.

They look nice and the install would be easier than HID set-up. But, I would like to see some night pictures for a better comparison.

Excellent Can't wait to see the night photos. They look like good quality bulbs.

Please excuse the ignorance. Were these bulbs were installed in the fogs? If you put them in the fogs, did you get any code errors?

As far as I can tell this car does not do any cold checks for resistance on the bulbs. My car did not have the HID option and I installed a kit for the headlights and have had no problems. I had the passenger fog light bulb out and the car did not "tell me" a bulb was out. If this was my old BMW then I would have had errors like crazy. Here are some pics. I have to say I am VERY pleased with these bulbs. They look amazing. Color is very crisp. Very much like an HID kit but no blinding of oncoming traffic. Just got home from a kids party and it lights up the rad very nice. Ditch the HID and go with a set of these bad boys! We will have to wait and see the longevity of them but I am very happy with them.

What a fantastic improvement. I have a UL and the fog lights look awful. I am anxious to have the fogs match the headlights.
For clarification, is there a ballast installation involved in this upgrade or just a swapping of bulbs. Thanks.

Thanks for the night pics.

Wow!!...they do look great. I guess I won't be replacing my busted HID fog light ballast rather changing to LEDs.

How close a match are the headlight LEDs and your fog light LEDs?

They match alright I guess. Not exact. IMHO I don't think you will ever get a perfect match. These are suppose to be 6K altho they where branded as 8K. I think they are fine. Remember I have a 3 year old 6k kit in my headlight. The member who asked about a ballast. These are just bulb upgrades. Take a look at the link I posted. Well worth it if you ask me.

Xpcgamer, thanks for showing the pics and the info. Do the bulbs fit well into the housing?

So you had to pull the tabs away from the base to make it easy to twist on?

I bent the tabs just a tiny bit. You could have maybe squeezed them in but I was scared of breaking the plastic housing of the fog lights. I took a pair of needle nose pliers and barely bent them up. I mean just a TINY bit.

I just tried doing the same thing but I couldn't get the original bulb out. I was able to turn it but not pull it out. It was very frustrating. What do you mean about bending the tabs? Which way? Did you go in through the wheel well or underneath?
