Damn, that's nice. The powers to be here in Calif. changed all that a few years ago. Only Plug-in's or all electric get the HOV stickers. Hybrids don't count anymore. I guess too many hybrids in the state.

The best thing ever that was not on my 2008 es is the ability to split the Nav screen display to show both the map and the radio information on the display all at once.

Most items listed are what I would expect on a car like this, so the two things I like best about the ES are unexpected items: regular gas and the added legroom in the back seat.

I reached as far as I could under the seat and didn't find anything on the ES 350 at my Lexus dealer.

This manual indeed confirms it. is a Hybrid only option?

This is standard on both 350 and 300h.

They're at the bottom on the front seats, not on the floor.

Vents to the rear from the seats make sense since there's the ventilated front seats. But going slightly off topic, does anybody find the vented seats ineffective? I hear lots of blowing, but don't feel much air.

It worked well in the short period of warm weather I had a chance to use it in... Fabric makes a difference.. If you're wearing layers you're not going to feel anything. With lighter fabrics, no layers, it works well in combination with the A/C (esp when blowing to the feet/floor vents)

Where it does and will make a significant difference is on long summer trips... One less driving experience you don't have to deal with is sticking to leather / vinyl seats .

I think the vented seats are thermostatically controlled, giving less 'cool' with moderate temperatures and lots of cooling when it is hot.

So the AC must be on for the seats to cool, even if you have the seats dialed in on the blue cool mode?

no, it's just a fan that turns on to move in cabin air through the seats.

Now that's disappointing. I thought the seats actually cooled down, not just ventilated. Even so, the ventilation doesn't seem strong even at its highest level. I'm not taking about just the seat of the pants; I put my hand over the seat and don't feel much.
