Default My new Lexus Matador red ES300h and accident :-(

Hello forum
So i went into the dealer to purchase a Nebula grey/parchment interior es300h, however ended up buying the same however with the matador red exterior. The red color was so much more pleasant for me personally.
Have been driving the vehicle and just finished 1000 miles on it. Parked it at Safeway to go grab some groceries. Come back and the vehicle parked on my left side had decided to turn back sharper than needed. Bumped right into my car starting with the rear driver side tires and then on to the bumper. Thank God she left me a note!
I am so bummed out looking at my sweetheart like this. Will be going to the body shop tomorrow, but man, just upset at my luck.
You know how we park our new cars so far away in the parking lot just to be safe and your wives say how stupid that is, dont believe her. Park very far away!!

I'm so so sorry for what happened to your beautiful new Lexus.

I know what you mean...I park in what I call the "no-ding zone". Because I've seen too many little kids FLING OPEN the car door, bashing into the next car; I've also seen the mother then look both ways, yell at the kid to get back in, and then race off WITHOUT LEAVING A NOTE. Scumbags. With out-of-control dumb*** kids. No respect.

Thanks winsalem. The person who bumped into my car was a 18 year old girl :-(. Guess was busy multitasking her facebook page with her twitter account updates and yes driving!
I called her insurance company and apparently the girl is not picking up the phone for the past 24 hours. Pathetic!

Terrible!

She wouldn't have left a note if her intent was to duck you. Sucks about the car, but at least she took responsibility for it. Very rare in that generation.

just got a quote from the lexus body shop dealer. Seems like they will have to replace the bumper and the interior lining that goes under the bumper. Sucks to loose the OEM part :-(
I hope the colors match

Yes - sorry for your mishap. I recall a few years ago, the Lexus was three weeks new; parked at the local super market for no more than five minutes; and upon returning to the RX, the biggest dent w/o a note. I was spitting nails.

From then forth, I park in the "North Forty," which also helps my exercise routine. Even the carts don't find it.

Why can't you get OEM parts, I believe you can demand for OEM parts through your insurance.

My insurance company has told me that I can have an oem part and have no warranty on the part or have a non-oem part and have a lifetime warranty for the life of the car.

Default Bought new ES350, Does GEICO cover OEM parts for in case of claims

Bought new ES350, and planning to change insurance to GEICO due to rate decrease. Previous one is Allstate.

Does GEICO cover OEM parts for in case of claims. while car is new..?

Another update. I will be getting OEM parts. The inner liner as well as the bumper. Total is around $1710.
