The Consensus On Sirius XM
We get the Sirius trial package for three months - just curious how many people have renewed for a year - or plan on extending their subscription after their trial period expires?

Sirius XM all depends on your tastes. They have a lot of sports and talk radio. They also have many music channels. One annoyance to me is that they have DJs that like to talk. IMO if I am paying for music, that is all I want, I do not want a DJ telling me about the song and artist. The new ES has the ability to plug a USB flash drive in with all of your favorite music, day and days worth, so I do not think, after having Sirius XM in my HS for 2 1/2 years, I will renew when the trial runs out in my new ES (whenever it finally arrives). I also believe the sound quality of the music stations needs more bandwidth, it sounds just a little over compressed and needs a higher bit rate IMHO. The NavTraffic and Weather service is a must and I will continue it as a stand alone service.

I'd consider renewing if the price comes down. I often listen to news on my work to and from work so only use Sirius for longer drives. Not sure it is worth 14.49 a month for my current usage. Also not sure that Navtraffic is worth having -- but I'll see if I miss it once the trial period runs out. I'm still figuring out how to use all the computer elements so there are many things I haven't even tried yet.

Now I like that. That's a savings of $130/year. Have you personally tried that? Does that include the data package too (fuel, traffic, weather)?

I called today and advised the customer service rep. that I received an email offer; $25 for six months. No problem. He took a credit card number and advised me to call back in June to check on the then current price. The data package is an additional $7.00 month after the first "free" year. I suspect that this cost can also be reduced.

Here is a link for the $25 offer:

They talk too much on some of the music stations, but the selection is nice.

Many of the channels play the same 7-10 songs over and over again. I got tired of listening to it in just 1 week. I listen to my phone instead.
Pandora app delivers better music variety.
Tune In Radio app gives me channels I would rather listen to anyway.
