SMS Text-to-Speech with Reply
Anybody have SMS Text-to-Speech with Reply working in their Es300h?
Manual shows how to set it up…..yet, I don't even have the option under, "Message Settings" , "Menu" - "Phone" to set it up.
Am I missing something?

Does anyone know if this feature is available in Canada, or can be added somehow?
I have an iPhone 4, so I'm not sure if I can't see it because of that, or because of a different Nav software install.

Yes, the text to speech will work on the canadian Cars, although you you do need the Android Ph.,; as least so says the young tech savy sales associate who went over the car with my wife
and i; We will find out in Jan when her contract is up and she renews her phone; also nav has
nothing to do with it,(So he Said)

Then you go to your iPhone and choose "settings" then "bluetooth" then under devices choose the "car multimedia" After choosing "car multimedia" you will see options for "show notifications" and "sync contacts"
Turn on "show notifications" and you will receive texts through the ES, after you follow the ES setup. If you are stopped it will display the text. If you are driving it will not but the nice lady stuck in the dash will read them to you.

THANK YOU.......I knew it had to be something I was missing and the Show notifications on the Iphone was off. Turned it on and there it is.

iPhone 4 now shows the SMS/MMS tab in Messages
The manual shows (by way of pictures) that email accounts can somehow be synced, too... is that where it becomes Android specific? Or are there more settings for notification sharing that I am missing in the email app?

text message readout with DROIDX
I have the 300h with navigation. I have a DROIDX paired to it. I have properly set the sms and email parameters. But the car fails to read the texts. The online compatibility list says verizon/droidx not compatible but other posters in this thread indicate the droids should work.
Has anyone successfully enabled text message readout with a DROIDX?

Speech-to-Text SMS works with iPhone 5
Speech-to-Text works great in my ESh and iPhone 5. The only thing I can't get to work is the "reply" feature. I have set up standard replies in the system, but the reply always fails. Hoping some savvy user will figure the reply feature out...or it could be Apple or AT&T that just don't support it.
