The code was P0504 and had to do with a brake switch verification. They sent the data to lexus and no repairs were advised. I have not seen the issue again, but will update the Thread if I do.
Thanks for the feedback.

Check engine light
Same thing happened to me with my ES300h. I was driving on the freeway when the car had about 1500 miles, check engine light came on with a variety of other lights including cruise control not operable etc. I arrived at my destination about 10 miles later and when i re-started the car all the lights were gone. i was very concerned, took it to the dealer, who read the code and said here was a foreign object in the left front sensor. They claimed they cleaned it out and I would not have the problem again. Same thing happened about 10 days later, a variety of lights came into including ABS, cruise control etc. I had my wife photograph it and they stayed on for the duration of a 60 mile trip. I took it back to the dealer, they kept the car and gave me a loaner. This time they ordered a new sensor for the left front and actually replaced it rather than just cleaned it. I have not had the problem reoccur.

My hunch is this is a simple gas cap issue, the code will clear if it was the cap.
I am surprised carmakers have not made a gas cap light indicator that is not the check engine light.

My invoice says "replace wheel speed in the left front SPO-89543-33090 sensor, speed, fr lh" Interestingly, I was amazed at how precise the printed diagnosis readout was. The SA showed it to me and it clearly showed foreign object on left front sensor. Also, the memory in the diagnosis system kept the history for a few days. You may want the dealership to show you the actual diagnosis printout.
