I have read many reviews from people stating the 18" wheels are to be avoided. However, a few have posted the 18" look better and you can just get michelin tires and the drive quality/road noise etc will be the same as the 17"
If they're going to charge you for the 18 inch, I'd ask them to swop out the tires and make sure they're Michelins. Then you'll have them both ways: better looking wheels with the quieter tires.

This car was already in production and was scheduled to be sent to another dealership. My dealer said they did a trade and now the car will come from factory straight to them.

If it was a special order it would be cheaper for me since i could order it with 17" wheels instead of it coming with 18: (and $880 charge). Dealer told me special orders take 4 months.

I agreed to the deal over the phone 13% off Msrp and went to the dealership to sign papers and take care of financing. I had gotten approval from my credit Union for 2.34% on a 5yr loan. Lexus offered me the 1.9% which I was very pleased with since nobody else had offered a rate that good.

I think I made a mistake though. It seems people have been getting $1,000 for using Lexus financing. It wasn't offered to me as an incentive and I didn't think to ask. I foolishly didn't think to look up threads here on financing until after the deal. If I could do it over again I would have asked for that $1,000.

Bought this car yesterday:

2015 Lexus ES 350 Canadian car with Touring Package that includes:

Heated Steering Wheel
Memory Driver Seat
Park Assist and sensors
Leather Seats heated and ventilated
Navigation System
Blind Spot Monitor/Rear Traffic Alert
HID Lights
LED Fog-lamps
Rain Sensing Wipers

Final Price of $42,566 Canadian and this includes Freight and PDI etc but does not include HST (Sales Tax). Price included Lexus offers of $1500 delivery credit and $2000 credit for cash buyers.

Way I look at it is I got the Lexus for a Canadian Avalon price (Limited, not Limited Premium)
.

For anyone interested, at today's conversion rate that works out to US Dollars $33,732.88 plus sales tax.

Thanks..wish I could say it was due to my great skills in negotiating, but not really. However, it did help that a local paper highlighted the ES 350 as a car you could get a good deal on in March due to incentives both to end buyer and dealer.

The US dollar and Canadian dollar fluctuate a lot relative to each other, and right now the Canadian $ has weakened a lot, but car prices (MRSP etc) have not yet moved in relation to the currency changing. A few years ago some Canadians would buy cars in the US as the deals were better, but now that trend has reversed.

In any case, I am delighted with the new purchase and it is my first Lexus. Matador red with parchment interior.
