actually looks bigger than Camry and has very different greenhouse and side profile. It is more coupe like at back. Longer hood too.

My ES days are over, I rarely ask for them for loaners and the car does not appeal to my wants. I still can appreciate it for being a fantastic example of fulfilling wants and needs for other people without constantly bringing up Camry.
The ES350 is my favorite loaner cars since the IS is too small for me and I hate SUVs.

For many decades the GT-R is in fact a Skyline and many people still continue to call it a Skyline, you can't avoid that. Even Nissan is sick of it so they removed the Skyline name from the R35, but the damage is done. You can't change history.

Just let it go man, I used to get mad when someone say the ES feels and drive identical to a Camry. Someone even told me the 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders Camry feels identical in smoothness and power Sigh............now I just let it go, who cares?

The shifter and center console are exactly the same as the current car...

Are you serious?? For one, you can't see too much in those spy pics, but it's pretty apparent that the architecture will closely mimic that set in the new GS. Which would be drastically different from the current car. The shift **** itself is probably just a parts bin piece, not the final part.

Comparison with the old model by LexusEnthusiast

http://lexusenthusiast.com/2012/02/0...id-spy-photos/

This is essentially the same ES with a revised exterior design including the new grill, and with a slightly extended body but similar wheelbase. Can you say holy front overhang batman. Although I like the longer hood overall and what it contributes to the profile.

Glad to see Lexus is still utilizing three-spoke steering wheels on luxury cars. It adds a dash of sportiness in the right spot.

That's what you can find initially. There will be more and then it's not just a revised ES anymore. LOL

Those top images aren't really good to compare size with. For one both were taken at different distances. The spy shot is obviously zoomed in and is not proportionate to the ES pic below it.

They will sell butt-load of it again, see so many around. I can't believe they are MADE IN JAPAN, always thought that they are made in Canada.

Agree 100%. Also, it was known that the architecture would be somewhat similar, same with the revised Camry, with the bigger changes coming with the next model.
