No one is offended. Going in any ES thread in the universe has the same commentary that is so outdated its not funny. Meanwhile the ES soldiers on as a success any brand wishes they had for over 20 years.
My ES days are over, I rarely ask for them for loaners and the car does not appeal to my wants. I still can appreciate it for being a fantastic example of fulfilling wants and needs for other people without constantly bringing up Camry.

Just let it go man, I used to get mad when someone say the ES feels and drive identical to a Camry. Someone even told me the 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders Camry feels identical in smoothness and power Sigh............now I just let it go, who cares?

Are you serious?? For one, you can't see too much in those spy pics, but it's pretty apparent that the architecture will closely mimic that set in the new GS. Which would be drastically different from the current car. The shift **** itself is probably just a parts bin piece, not the final part.

This is essentially the same ES with a revised exterior design including the new grill, and with a slightly extended body but similar wheelbase. Can you say holy front overhang batman. Although I like the longer hood overall and what it contributes to the profile.

Glad to see Lexus is still utilizing three-spoke steering wheels on luxury cars. It adds a dash of sportiness in the right spot.

Agree 100%. Also, it was known that the architecture would be somewhat similar, same with the revised Camry, with the bigger changes coming with the next model.
